Every Survivor 51 twist
Advantage · revealed in Episode 5
What is the Alliance Builder on Survivor 51?
An extra vote that came with a trip to another tribe. Maggie drew it in Episode 5, took it to Dina and gave it away, along with her own Secret Extra Vote, so that Kilby and Lewis could each vote twice.
How it works
- Toka’s reward basket came with a note: one player had to give up their share and leave camp.
- Mike, Maggie and Kristin volunteered, and Maggie’s name was drawn.
- She visited Dina, where the extra vote was hers to hand to someone there.
- Whoever receives an extra vote casts it as their own, and votes twice again if the vote ties.
So far this season
Maggie gave Kilby and Lewis, her old Toka allies outnumbered 4–2 on Dina, an extra vote each. Both voted twice for Linnea, so the first vote tied 4–4 with Lewis, and the revote did too. Kilby said he would draw a rock; the other three would not, and Linnea went home on the consensus vote.
The fantasy angle
Winning the trip scores as a journey. The bigger effect is at Tribal: two extra votes turned a 4–2 minority into a tie, and the castaways who used them came out on the right side of a blindside.
Scoring it can trigger
- Wins journey / gets advantage+2
- Confirmed Alliance+2
- On the right side of a blindside+2
