Terms of Service

Survivor Tribes is a fan-made fantasy league companion, run by one person. By using the site you agree to what’s below. It’s short on purpose.

Fan project disclaimer

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to CBS, Paramount, SEG, or any entity involved in the production of Survivor. All Survivor-related content is used for fan entertainment purposes. Contestant information and game data are publicly available information used for original analysis, commentary, and entertainment. Survivor is a registered trademark of CBS/Paramount, as are the season logos and other series artwork shown here, which appear for identification and commentary only. Any revenue from this site supports ongoing development of original fan-created tools.

Your account

Accounts are created by signing in with Google. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, and for the Google account behind it. Much of the site — the cast pages, recaps, polls, trivia and Solo Tribe — works with no account at all.

League Pass and payment

  • League Pass is a one-time $7 charge. It lets you create and run leagues.
  • Joining a league and playing are free. Only the commissioner who creates a league needs a pass.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout page. On your statement the charge appears as K8MAK* SURVIVORTRIBES — the payment account is shared across several sites, so that’s the name to look for.
  • Refunds are handled case by case through the contact form. There’s no automatic refund window and no guarantee — but ask, and a human will read it and make a call. Nothing here limits refund rights your local consumer law gives you.
  • If a payment is refunded or charged back, the League Pass is removed from the account.

Your content

League names, tribe names, trash talk, dispute explanations, uploaded tribe icons — you keep ownership of what you create. By posting it you give us permission to store and display it on the site so the thing can actually work: your league name has to appear on your league page, and your trash talk has to appear on your league’s board.

You’re responsible for what you post, including that you have the right to post it. A league’s trash talk board is visible only to that league’s members, but they can screenshot it, so don’t post anything you wouldn’t want shared. You can delete your own posts, and your league’s commissioner can delete any post on its board.

Campfire, the fan forum, is public: anyone can read it, and search engines index it. Your posts there show the Campfire name you choose, never your Google name. Links, email addresses, @handles and phone numbers aren’t allowed in Campfire posts.

Conduct

  • Be a good sport. Trash talk is the point; cruelty isn’t.
  • Don’t post offensive, harassing, harmful, or illegal content
  • Don’t impersonate anyone
  • Don’t attempt to exploit, overload, or abuse the site’s services

To be clear about how this is enforced: there is no profanity filter, and nothing is read by a person before it’s posted. On Campfire, anyone signed in can report a post; a reported post is hidden right away until we review it, and we may restore it, keep it hidden, or stop its author from posting. Anywhere on the site, we may remove content or close an account at our discretion. If something needs attention, the contact form is how it reaches us.

Copyright

If you’re a rights holder and something on this site is yours, see Copyright & Takedown Requests. Takedown requests are honoured immediately and without argument — you don’t need to send a formal notice first.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Scores, stats, rankings and league data are maintained on a best-effort basis by a fan watching the same episodes you are, and may contain errors. Episodes get rescored, standings shift, and the site occasionally goes down. If a scoring call looks wrong, flag it — leagues have a dispute flow for exactly that.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to this site is limited to the amount you actually paid us — which for most people is nothing, and at most is $7. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost league standings, missed drafts, or a scoring error that cost you a bet with your friends.

Ending things

You can stop using the site whenever you like and ask for your account to be deleted through the contact form. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If a league’s commissioner disappears, get in touch and we’ll help sort the league out.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in California.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. Continued use after an update means you accept it. The date below is the last time this page changed.

Privacy

What the site collects and who else sees it is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.
