Season 50 Draft Rankings
Tiered rankings and strategy for the Survivor 50 all-returnees draft — archived
This is the Season 50 draft board, kept for the record. It ranks 24 returning castaways on games they had already played. Drafting Survivor 51? Nobody in that cast has played a day, so none of this transfers.
DRAFT STRATEGY
Target or Asset?
S50 is a returnee meta-game — threat levels are pre-established. Former winners (Dee, Kyle, Savannah) will either be early boots or deep shields. Draft accordingly: pair a winner with a low-threat floater to hedge.
The Old-School Shield
Old-school players (Colby, Jenna, Coach, Stephenie) are likely to be used as shields by new-era strategists. They offer challenge points early but are high-risk for post-merge eliminations. Prioritize them in later rounds.
Chaos Agents
Players like Q, Angelina, and Coach have historically high chaos factors. They generate scoring events (idol plays, blindsides, iconic quotes) but also flame out. High ceiling, low floor — perfect for a 'swing for the fences' pick.
Cross-Tribe Connections
Pre-existing relationships matter. Charlie & Tiffany (S45), Cirie & Ozzy (Micronesia), Colby & Stephenie (HvV) all have unfinished business. These connections create predictable early alliances or early targets — draft both sides of a rivalry if you can.
Draft Gremlins
Don't sleep on under-the-radar picks. Players like Kamilla, Rizo, and Emily have low threat profiles but high social games. They won't generate flashy scoring events, but they'll survive — and survival is the foundation of fantasy points.
