The first merged Tribal Council had a plan going in, and it was not Brady. Devin, Kilby, Lewis, Jelly, Maggie, Mike and Thien An had started the day on Eric, then moved to Kristin: eight votes for her, with Eric as the decoy.
Mike broke it himself. He came into a huddle and told Kristin it would be the end of her game tonight if she did not get in line, and walked off. Kristin called him a bully and a mob boss, and took it straight to Brady. Brady confronted Mike, Mike lied to his face, and Brady gave the episode its name: "You broke my heart like I was the girl at the prom." Meanwhile Kilby, who had been reconnecting with Brady, moved the numbers onto him.
At Tribal, Mike said a plan had been shared with him a little bit late, Jelly said Brady was bringing a level of toxicity, and Brady pushed the room back toward Eric. It did not move. Brady Booker is voted out 9–4: Cristian, Devin, Eric, Jelly, Kilby, Kristin, Maggie, Mike and Sharonda on Brady, and Brady, Carter, Lewis and Thien An on Eric. He is the ninth castaway out of Survivor 51 and the first member of the jury. In his final words he said he played Survivor the way he wrestles: hard, with passion, maybe too much. No idols were played, though Kristin's Tethered Idol is now in Sharonda's hands, and Carter still holds the one Rob gave him.
Fantasy fallout: all thirteen castaways bank +5 for the merge. The ten who ate both grubs get +2 for a seat at the feast, and Kristin, Sharonda and Cristian lose −1 each for missing it. Mike adds +5 for the first individual immunity. Eric takes −2 for tearing up at the grubs and −4 for the four votes. Brady gets +3 for the title line against −3 for the vote, and the other eleven get +1 for a Tribal with no votes against.
