Mitch was well-liked by nearly everyone on Survivor 48, and for a long time that was enough. He came back from an early journey with a Vote Blocker and told his tribe about it, which won him an ally in Charity Nelms. Civa kept winning, so he stayed away from Tribal Council for the first week. The losses that followed were rough: Bianca Roses was blindsided without his knowledge, and then Charity went home while Mitch voted elsewhere, a betrayal that shook his trust in his starting tribemates. He answered by spending his Vote Blocker on Sai Hughley before voting her out.
Mitch pitched the former Civas on taking out the Lagi players, but David Kinne would not bite, and Mitch mostly followed the numbers from there. He dodged three votes the night David left, joined Joe Hunter's majority, and survived Shauhin Davari and Kamilla Karthigesu voting against him. Just as he saw his window to target Joe, Kamilla broke the news that he was too likable to keep. The vote against him was unanimous, and on the jury he backed Kyle Fraser.
