Kim Johnson
The underestimated Boran outsider who won immunity exactly when she had to and picked who sat beside her at the end.
Known for
Kim J. was nobody's idea of a threat in Africa, and she knew it. She apologized for stumbling in early challenges, but her warmth made her solid friends on Boran, and she even dyed the tribe's mosquito nets with her paints to help win a Distress Signal immunity. After the switch she quietly signaled Kelly Goldsmith about Lindsey Richter's past votes, a tip that mattered when Lindsey went out on a tiebreaker and Boran hit the merge with the numbers.
She rode the Boran Alliance to the final four as its clear outsider, then refused to go quietly. She won immunity on Day 37 and helped cut Tom Buchanan, then outlasted an ailing Lex van den Berghe for the final necklace and sent Lex home, judging Ethan Zohn more deserving. The jury saw a coattail ride and chose Ethan 5-2, with Brandon Quinton and Kim Powers backing her.
