Jonny Fairplay went to war on Pearl Islands' Drake tribe, sparring with Shawn Cohen and Sandra Diaz-Twine and helping throw a challenge to backstab his buddy Burton Roberts. His signature move came at the final seven: his friend Dan showed up for the Loved Ones Challenge and announced his grandmother had died, and most of the tribe let Jon win the reward out of sympathy. It was a lie Jon had planned before the game, and Grandma was fine.
Burton came back through the Outcasts twist and the two teamed up again until the women took Burton out. Facing the axe at the final four, Jon told Lillian Morris that Darrah Johnson and Sandra never meant to take her to the end, and Darrah went home instead, buying him three more days. Lillian then won the final immunity and voted him out; he voted for Sandra. He returned to Micronesia as a Malakal favorite with two alliances courting him, but after the first loss he asked his tribe to vote him out, and they obliged.
