Jon played San Juan del Sur alongside girlfriend Jaclyn Schultz, starting on Hunahpu, where he took the blame for losing the tribe's flint and lost best buddy Drew Christy to a blindside. The swap reunited the couple on Coyopa as swing votes, and they sided with Missy Payne and Baylor Wilson to vote off Kelley Wentworth and then Dale, who had dangled a fake "idol" at Jon.
At the merge the pair swung again, first flipping on Josh Canfield at Jaclyn's urging, then turning on Jeremy Collins after Jon flashed his Exile idol at Missy. That move made Natalie Anderson his sworn enemy. Jon survived Reed's blindside by playing the idol, found another on Exile, and started acting like the season's mastermind. When Natalie won immunity and came for him, he left that second idol unplayed and went out in a revote. He voted for Jaclyn to win.
