The Army surgery resident whose wife's Redemption Island dominance made him too dangerous for his own alliance.
Known for
John played Blood vs. Water beside his wife, Candice Cody, and the game split them within hours when Galang voted her out on the spot. Offered the chance to swap places with her on Redemption Island, he stayed put at her urging. On Tadhana he clicked with Brad Culpepper and slotted into the ruling Five Guys alliance with Caleb Bankston, Hayden Moss and Vytas Baskauskas, helping vote out Marissa Peterson and Rachel Foulger.
The trouble was Candice. She kept winning duels and sending him idol clues, and even though John shared them, Brad worried John would jump ship to her at the merge. The Five Guys blindsided him instead. Reunited on Redemption Island, the couple knocked out Marissa together, but Brad soon arrived and eliminated Candice. John got his revenge by feeding idol clues to Brad's wife Monica, who burned them, and then outlasted Brad and Kat Edorsson in the duels. He came up short in the final reentry duel against both Lauras, frustrated but grateful for the time with Candice.
