Jean-Robert Bellande
Fei Long's lightning rod, who read China's idol situation right and his own ally wrong.
Known for
Jean-Robert was the main source of conflict on Fei Long. He sized up Todd Herzog as devious on Day 1, played lazy at camp on purpose, snored loudly, and drew complaints from the women, Courtney Yates most of all, over his conduct at night and his comments about them. He also had real uses: when a fisherman's family visited, he translated for the tribe in Mandarin. Losing his closest ally, James Clement, in the tribe switch put him on thin ice, but Amanda Kimmel's case against Sherea Lloyd bought him time.
After the merge he tried a bluff. He told Erik Huffman he had found an idol and learned in return that James was sitting on two. Jean-Robert lined up votes to blindside James, and he told Todd the plan. Todd concluded Jean-Robert was the bigger threat and flipped the vote onto him. At Final Tribal Council, Todd's answer about why he did it left Jean-Robert speechless, and he voted for Todd.
