Known for
Denise was awestruck from the opening ceremony in China, a lunch lady suddenly standing in a Chinese temple, and her work ethic and warmth made her a steady member of the Fei Long Alliance. Not everything went smoothly: she could not get the balut down in a key eating challenge and blamed herself for the loss, and being left unpicked for a reward stung. At the Shaolin Temple she showed off years of karate training.
In the merge, Denise stayed with the Fei Long core, joining Amanda Kimmel to blindside her friend James Clement and passing on a Zhan Hu offer to flip, then picking Todd Herzog over Peih-Gee Law for a Great Wall reward before voting Peih-Gee out. After she lost the final immunity to Amanda, the other three sent her to the jury. There she called out Amanda's lies and Todd's backstabbing, praised Courtney Yates for her honesty, and gave Courtney her vote.
