Samoa's Galu stalwart, who sparred with Shambo, got outmaneuvered by Russell and kept scrapping anyway.

Dave was a core piece of Galu, the tribe that went on a long winning run early in Samoa. He choked down a sea slug smoothie to win his tribe a barbecue, and he spent a lot of energy clashing with outsider Shambo Waters, whose promotion to tribe leader was meant to keep her on the men's side.
The merge flipped everything. Galu piled its votes on Russell Hantz, Russell played an idol, and Kelly Sharbaugh went home instead. Dave actually tipped his cap to Russell for the move. Shambo then crossed tribal lines, John Fincher flipped on a revote, Galu lost Laura Morett, and Dave was suddenly playing from the bottom. He survived one scare when Russell targeted John instead, a vote Dave was happy to cast after John's flip. He tried to rattle Russell into turning on Shambo, but Russell held course and Dave was voted out, much to Shambo's delight. On the jury he quizzed the finalists on their odds and voted for Natalie White.
