Courtney started Panama on the younger-women Bayoneta tribe, where a dead sea turtle she read as a fertility symbol got on Danielle DiLorenzo's nerves. The four-tribe shuffle on day four put her on Casaya, which she helped assemble by picking Aras Baskauskas in the schoolyard draft. She aligned with Aras, Danielle and Shane Powers, feuded pettily with Shane, poked at Bruce Kanegai's Zen garden, and forged a key bond with Cirie Fields.
Casaya held firm at the Gitanos merge, and the alliance stayed intact while Terry Deitz's immunity streak forced it to pick off Nick Stanbury, Austin Carty and Sally Schumann instead. At one reward challenge her tribemates tagged her the most annoying castaway left, which stung. After Bruce's medical evacuation she went toe-to-toe with Terry for immunity and ran out of gas. Courtney sided with Terry and trusted Cirie and Danielle were with her, but Cirie engineered a three-way split that caught her completely off guard. She took the blindside gracefully and later voted for Aras.
