Known for
Christy made history on The Amazon as Survivor's first deaf castaway, and her start on the all-women Jaburu tribe was rocky. She lip-read by day and was cut off from camp chatter after dark, and a blowup with JoAnna Ward over the immunity idol left her in tears. The tribe switch was a reset: on Tambaqui she felt treated like everyone else for the first time, and she beat Jenna Morasca in a reward duel.
After the merge Christy spent most of her time on the outs, stuck with Matthew von Ertfelda and Butch Lockley while the majority lounged. Then Rob Cesternino needed her to blindside Alex Bell, and suddenly she was the swing vote everyone was courting. She couldn't choose between the women and the men, and Rob, rattled by her indecision, rallied the others and sent her to the jury, where she voted for Jenna.
