Known for
Chad joined the all-male Lopevi tribe as Survivor's first amputee, and his prosthetic leg became a running theme: Brady Finta called him inspiring and, in the same breath, the player to beat. He locked into Lea Masters's Fat Five alliance, and the bloc held together through the early losses and a stretch without fire.
After the tribe switch Chad landed on a new Lopevi with Chris Daugherty, Julie Berry, Twila Tanner and John Kenney, and the group reeled off wins. John lobbied to cut Chad as the biggest threat, but the tribe sent John home instead. At the merge the women held the numbers, and the men were outmatched in challenges and outplayed at camp. Scout Cloud Lee's plan to blindside Eliza Orlins gave Chad and Chris a lifeline, until Ami Cusack caught wind of it and redirected the vote onto Chad. On the jury he asked the finalists how the game had changed them, then voted for Chris.
