The wisecracking Gen Xer whose charm carried him deep, even though immunity never came his way.
Known for
Bret built the first power bloc on Takali, recruiting Chris Hammons and four others into the Takali Alliance. It cracked almost immediately when three of its women flipped to blindside Paul Wachter, and David Wright's idol then burned Bret's side a second time. A swap to Ikabula left him and Sunday Burquest on the bottom, until Jay Starrett and Will Wahl sided with them to blindside Michaela Bradshaw.
After the merge, Bret's humor made him friends on every side, but the ground kept moving. Chris was blindsided, so Bret swung to Zeke Smith, and on a reward trip the two sealed an alliance against David. He survived the rock draw, then watched Adam Klein's idol send Zeke home. Unable to win immunity, Bret bounced from bloc to bloc until David, Hannah Shapiro and Ken McNickle blindsided him. He congratulated David on the way out, told the others they had just lost, and joined the unanimous jury for Adam.
