Alec came to San Juan del Sur with one personal mission: outlast his big brother, Drew. He lost their head-to-head duel early, but Drew's tribe voted him out for throwing a challenge, so Alec had the family bragging rights before the swap. On Coyopa he went along with the men's votes, including a reluctant one against John Rocker, then landed on the new Hunahpu, which he saw as the stronger side, and sailed to the merge.
Once there, the men's alliance he belonged to started losing pieces fast. Josh Canfield was flipped out, Jeremy Collins went next, and the split vote meant to blindside Jon Misch sent Wes Nale home instead. Stuck on the bottom, Alec also drew Jon's irritation for flirting with Jaclyn Schultz, a label Alec rejected. At the final seven, he was told Keith Nale was going, but Natalie switched her vote to him instead. At Final Tribal Council, she called ousting him her biggest move, and Alec voted for her anyway.
